The Little Prince is a classic children book which has been translated into more than 250 languages and dialects. It was written by Antoine de Saint-Exupѐry and first published in 1943. This book has an extremely absorbing story which tells about the journey of a little prince from his planet to the earth.

The little prince lives in a tiny planet which has three volcanoes and a rose plant. He loves sunset very much and he can enjoy the sunset by moving his chair’s position in every 30 minutes on his planet. He goes to the earth because of someone’s recommendation, the geographer who lives in another planet. On his way to the earth, the little prince meets some adults who have strange habits in other planets. After a long way to go, finally the little prince arrives in Sahara desert and meets a pilot who is busy fixing his plane’s engine which is broken.

The little prince is a child who is always curious about everything, so he travels to satisfy his curiosity. He always asks what and why for every unusual and interesting thing that he sees. In contrast, the adults he meets, such as the geographer, the king, the conceited man, the drunkard, the businessman and the lamplighter are people who have no interest in the world outside theirs.

Although this book is full of children’s imaginations, it is good for adult to read. The writer has brilliant ideas to tell about the adult life according to children’s point of view. The readers may be horrified by some characters in the book which represent the real adult’s life which is full of self-importance and activities yet monotonous.

In brief, it is an impressive book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I highly recommend The Little Prince not only for children, but also for adult readers.
